Parking

At the moment, King's Cross is still a church plant. This means that we are still renting until we can have a more permanent place to worship.

You will turn down Calle Concordia and take your first left. You should notice a sign for the church when you need to turn in. From there, you will park at the first parking lot that you see after passing through the runoff for the wash.

Coming Inside

Once you park your car outside Chapel Hall, you will make your way up the steps and in through the double glass doors. As you come in, you will need to grab a printed guide, the Book of Common Prayer (the red book), and a Hymnal (the blue Book). You will need one of each of these to participate in worship with us.

As you enter the sanctuary, you will also notice an icon of the Trinity, a font of water, and our tithing box. You can feel free to dip your finger in the water and cross yourself. This water is a reminder of our baptism and that we enter into the church through that. You can also drop your tithe off in the box, or give any offerings during the offertory.

Worship

We invite all people to come worship with us. You will use the guide to help you navigate through the service and know when to use the Book of Common Prayer, and the Hymnal. Any song that we sing, we encourage you to sing along as well.

As Anglicans, we use a liturgy. This English word comes from a Latin word that translates to "the work of the people." This means that we believe that people are supposed to participate in the service and not be passive participants. Therefore, anything that is bolded is something to be said as a congregation. Anything in italized text is instructions to follow either specifically for the priest or for those participating.

Children

At King's Cross, we believe that children are watching, learning, and can participate in the service just as much as the adults. Therefore, we encourage our children to be a part of the service for as long as possible. At the same time, we know that they need lessons and times tailored to their age to learn about Jesus where they are at.

Toward the beginning of the service, we will pray a blessing over the children, and then they will be dismissed to their classroom for their lesson. They will be guided by the teachers on that Sunday to their classes for the lesson. The children will then join us after the prayers of the people to participate in the rest of the service.

As a normative practice in the ACNA, all of our volunteers have been trained according to "Safe Ministry" standards and have all gone under background checks as well. We value the safety and protection of every child, whether they are our own or coming for the first time.
